• October 2009 – Carlo Pegna reaches final of Businessman of the Year
Just four years after launching Master Collections, it has been announced that Managing Director Carlo Pegna has won a place in the final selection for Businessman of the Year in the 2009 Colchester & District Business Awards.

The success of Master Collections in part is down to poor advice from our predecessors including solicitors and debt collectors. As a result creditors forward referrals to us. For example cheap solicitors that use an all size fits all approach without properly assessing enforcement options. • May 2008 – Over 1 million claims for monies owed were issued through the courts
To avoid being part of the 1 million plus claims submitted to the courts, businesses need to have in place practices that avoid bad debt before it’s too late. With the introduction of court hearing fees up to £1,000 businesses should be wary of ‘cheap’ debt collection, as paying a solicitor a few pounds to write a letter may lead to costly legal proceedings if the debt is defended. • December 2006 - Master Collections: Probably the Best Debt Collector in the UK
Master Collections recently agreed to take on debt referrals that had formerly been with a competitor who failed to collect. The debts related to unpaid telephone bills and termination invoices. Master Collections are proud to announce that they achieved a 93% recovery rate, that's 93% more than the competitor. • July 2006 - Master Collections completes London to Oxford cycle for children with Cancer
On Sunday 2nd July, a team of 4 representatives from Master Collections took part in the Clic Sargent charity London to Oxford cycle. The team cycled 65 miles in blistering heat and completed the course in 6 ½ hours. As a result of their efforts Master Collections raised approximately £2,000 for Clic Sargent ’Caring for Children with Cancer‘. Read more...
• June 2006 - Credit Collections for European Utilities Conference
Master Collections are proud to announce its participation at the Credit Collections for European Utilities Conference in Barcelona. Our Legal and Operators Manager, Carlo Pegna, will be joining a panel of experts to discuss disconnection issues and in particular alternative collection strategies to those once reliant on disconnection.
